Rebuilding Charlemagne

Jeff Sypeck at Quid Plura has an interesting post on what Charlemagne would've made of modern Europe. As a big fan of all things Charlemagne, I don't have much to say except that I like it. Then again, this blog is all about thinking long and hard about what the Middle Ages were and what they weren't.

Matthew, thanks so much for the link, which I great appreciate--and which also gives me the opportunity to ask: when will The Legend of Charlemagne in the Middle Ages be published? It looks like a terrific collection of essays.

Well, it's with the publishers now, being reviewed. I'd guess it'll be out sometime in mid-2008.
