Well, I have moved around a lot, so I wouldn't want to list myself with any of my temporary affiliations--I dunno. I find it just as easy to search people out on their school's website most of the time.
A friend invited me via Facebook, and I haven't yet had a time to give it a real look. I need to figure out if there is a point to another social/professional network. After all, I already know where a lot of the people I need to talk to, and meet people through my blog ...
Thanks for the thoughts. I dunno about it either. I think it could be useful/ interesting but I don't really know how. Maybe for graduate students who ordinarily don't have departmental pages?
I got put onto it by Henrik Karl who blogs at Recent Finds and wrote about it here, but as yet I haven't explored it. I'm not quite sure what my motives would be for doing so, and that will be something I only discover when I make the time to waste having a proper look. At that point I might have an idea whther it will be useful for whatever my purposes turn out to be...
